I am all about helping people reach their best health and well-being. Growing up in Oakland, Illinois—a tiny town of 900 people—I always wanted to make a positive impact on others’ lives. I served six years in the U.S. Navy as a Naval Aircrewman, including two deployments to Bahrain, which instilled in me the values of discipline, service, and integrity. After my service, I earned a Bachelor of General Studies with a minor in Biology from Eastern Illinois University and then embarked on my journey at Sherman College of Chiropractic, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude. After graduation, I continued my education and have gotten re-certified with The Pediatric Experience in neuro-tonal adjusting and became Webster certified in oder to better serve both kids, pregnant moms, and really anyone with a functioning nervous system.
A little about my start to becoming a chiropractor; while in the Navy I met a local chiropractor, named Justin Quail, in Virginia Beach, VA. He introduced me to the “Big Idea” of chiropractic—adjusting vertebral subluxations to allow for proper nervous system communication leading to overall health of an individual, and if enough people have a balanced nervous system, leading to health, it then leads to a healthy city, then state, then nation, then continent, and then world . This philosophy struck a chord with me and now guides my mission at Servant’s Heart Chiropractic. I am dedicated to empowering my patients, especially children and families, to live healthier, happier lives by nurturing their nervous systems. I truly believe that God created every person to have incredible healing abilities within them, and that caring for our nervous system from an early age sets the foundation for a thriving life.
When I’m not at the office, I cherish quality time with my wife and our adorable daughter. We love exploring new downtown areas, enjoying cozy coffee shops, and taking family strolls. I also enjoy swing and blues dancing and actively participate in my church, Joshua Generation Upstate in Boiling Springs. I am honored to serve my community with a servant’s heart, guided by Christ-centered care.
My passion is taking care of families— pregnant moms and babies specifically. I am a chiropractor, wife, and mama myself and understand just how important the right fit is when looking for a chiropractor that gets it.
My journey to chiropractic was anything but a straight path. Dr. Ben and I moved here from Illinois for him to start chiropractic school. At the time, I was still working as a medical laboratory scientist. I had worked really hard to gain additional training and certifications to specialize in emergency transfusion medicine, and was working primarily in trauma medicine when we made the move to South Carolina. I always loved the science of what I did, and knowing that my work mattered and made an impact on my patient’s lives, but something was missing. Dr. Ben is an auditory learner, so one day he was playing his lectures while getting ready for school, and I heard his philosophy teacher talking about the body’s innate ability to heal. It stopped me dead in my tracks that morning. It was exactly what I wished I could tell my patients in the hospital: “You are innately and intelligently designed with the ability to heal from the inside out.”
Chiropractic doesn’t add anything to the body— it simply removes interference, allowing healing to take place the way it was always meant to. Spending my days telling people about their God-given ability to heal, and helping them see it as well is a gift. So, I left the medical field and went to chiropractic school with the mission to serve families in a way that aligns with my faith and my passion for natural health.
Now, at Servant’s Heart Chiropractic, that dream has come true. I help moms, babies, and families experience the power of a well-functioning nervous system and the beauty of healing from the inside out.
When I’m not in the office, you can probably find me with Dr. Ben and our daughter outside in the yard, playing at the park, or looking for the best local coffee shop.
I can’t wait to meet you and walk alongside you in your health journey!
